Every salt is not the same kind of salt. There are various types of salts. One reason for this is where it is obtained from such as a body of water or mine. Another reason for the differences in salt is their geography; depending on the region, salts will have different types of minerals present.
In this article we will focus on seven different types of salts: Table Salt, Himalayan Pink Salt, Himalayan Black Salt, Dead Sea Salt, Celtic Sea Salt, Black Lava Salt, and Epsom Salt.
Table Salt is also called halite. It is collected from rock salt mines and evaporated seawater. When obtained from mines, it mostly comes with other minerals that are considered toxic. And when obtained from seawater, it comes with pollutants. That is why it undergoes refining, processing, and bleaching to remove all the toxins and pollutants which leave behind white color salt grains. Later other ingredients are added such as iodine to make iodize salt.
Himalayan Pink Salt is said to be the purest form of salt found on earth because of its pollutant-free unaltered nature. It has less sodium than regular table salt. Himalayan Pink Salt also has 84 vital minerals which enhance the pink salt’s nutritional value and therapeutic properties.
Himalayan Black Salt is known for its medicinal properties for centuries. It has a very strong flavor and pungent smell that makes it different from other salts. Black Himalayan Salt is high in antioxidants and very low sodium content. It also contains vital minerals like magnesium, iron, calcium, and many more that are essential for health. It has an alkaline nature that helps to reduce acidity in your stomach.
Dead Sea Salt is the evaporation of dead seawater giving Dead Sea Salt crystals. It contains 21 minerals like zinc, sulfur, magnesium, potassium, calcium, iodine, and sodium. All these minerals help cleanse and detoxify the skin. Dead Sea Salt’s benefits include improving skin texture, making it rejuvenated and moisturized. It has large magnesium amounts which hydrate the skin by improving the skin’s lipid barrier.
Grey Celtic Salt is also known as Grey Sea Salt and Sel Gris. It is a less refined and moist salt that is found along the French coast. The crystals of Celtic salt have clay mixed in it that makes them moist and light grey in color with some purple tint. Celtic sea salt has more concentration of water that gives exquisite saline flavor. The crystals of Celtic salt are large and moist with a little crunch.
Black Lava Salt is collected from the Pacific Ocean of Hawaii and Cyprus utilizing ancient, traditional methods of solar evaporation. The dark color of real Hawaiian black lava salt is due to the presence of activated charcoal that comes from the Hawaiian lava.
Epsom Salt is also called Magnesium Sulphate. It is a magnesium, sulfur, and oxygen-based chemical compound. It was discovered in the town of Epsom in the English county of Surrey. It is a very popular salt because of its various benefits for the skin. Taking a hot bath with Epsom Salt crystals detoxifies and moisturizes the skin deeply. It is also used for foot detoxification to remove all the toxins. Zoe Provisions recommends each Zoe Seeker to soak in 2 cups of Epsom Salt in a bath or foot soak once a week for 45 minutes. This will help detoxify the body and then absorb much needed magnesium into the body. Epsom salt additionally increases magnesium levels because the human body has 300 processes that requires magnesium, decreases stress levels, relieves constipation, and decreases inflammation. and improves blood sugar levels.
Presently, Zoe Provisions uses Himalayan Pink Salt in our Zoe Goat’s Milk Soap Bars and Dead Sea Salt in our five Zoe Sea Salt Exfoliators within the natural products of Zoe Provisions’ Skincare. At Zoe Provisions we avoid using table salt because of the process it undergoes. As we educate our Zoe Seekers, we would hope you would make a switch for higher performance salts like those we have discussed in this article for a brighter Zoe life.
Zoe Provisions offers our unique Zoe Three-Step Crystal Exfoliation System. It is available in five different essential oil combinations in our Zoe Collections of Hayat, Liv, Vida, Vita and Zivot. Zoe Provisions has conducted much research into the ingredients as well as production of our Zoe Three-Step Crystal Exfoliation.
The concept behind the Zoe Three-Step Crystal Exfoliation System is in our understanding of skin and how to best exfoliate it. In the art of exfoliation, dead skin cells are sloughed off and leaving radiant skin. Zoe Provisions has perfected the art of exfoliation by incorporating the use of three different sized crystals.
Beginning with our largest crystal, our cane sugar scrub, applied gently and with circular motions is best to begin to exfoliate off the dead skin cells. It is important to note to make sure especially at this step you are extra gentle while exfoliating because of the size of the large crystals.
Next, it is followed by the second step, our sea salt scrub, this medium sized sugar crystal is noticeably smaller than the previous, thus continuing the exfoliation process.
The last step of the Zoe Three-Step Crystal Exfoliation is our microdermabrasion scrub, the smallest crystal which will polish the skin and leave it ultra-smooth. Zoe Provisions, we recommend our Zoe Three-Step Crystal Exfoliation be, used twice a week.
At Zoe Provisions we have seen the dramatic results of our Three-Step Crystal Exfoliation System even at the first experience. Zoe Provisions recommends our Zoe Seekers to follow up with one of each of our Zoe Facial Serums, L’Chaim Eye Serum, and Facial Mist.
The power of the Zoe exfoliated skin is magnified and attainable thus leaving the skin polished, ultra-smooth and radiant. “Living with a Zoe Glow!”
