Essential oils, the unfamiliar scent

Essential oils are fabulous for many reasons such as diffusing them into the air to purify your home. Zoe Provisions has discovered through fairs and speaking to Life Seekers (our customers) that many people have heard the term essential oils but may not truly be familiar with them. We have come to understand that many people are familiar with fragrance oils which are very different than essential oils. Fragrance oils are synthetic; meaning they arrive to its scent by mixing synthetic chemicals with natural components to achieve a most potent result. Fragrance oils are commonly found in creams, perfumes, body sprays, candles, soaps and even laundry detergents. Have you ever wondered why a laundry detergent scent can last in your clean clothes for weeks and months? Or why a watermelon flavored candy does not taste like a real watermelon? It is the artificial flavorings and synthetic additives.

At Zoe Provisions we find that a bit alarming. In turn, essential oils are made by taking raw plant material, distilling it and being left with a small portion of what was began with. In some examples of plants, you might need to start with 80 pounds of plant material in order to extract 5 ounces of essential oil. That's a big job but it is very worth it because of the reward! Typically a small amount of an essential oil goes a long way because of the concentration process called distillation. So essential oils are the concentrated plant's powerhouse of protection such as from the sun or against outside invaders. Zoe Provisions loves the many benefits of each essential oil, therefore, they are used in every product we provide.

Zoe Provisions does not categorize its products by skin type or skin issue because of the power of essential oils. Like we stated previously, one essential oil has multiple benefits for the skin/body and each Zoe Provisions product has at least three essential oils. If you would like anti-breakout benefits, the essential oils of lavender, orange, lemon, tea tree, peppermint, cedarwood, cinnamon, eucalyptus, patchouli, everlasting Corsica Helichrysum, neroli, lemongrass, bergamot and frankincense are fabulous. If you would like anti-aging benefits, the essential oils of frankincense, lavender, rose, cedarwood, everlasting Corsica Helichrysum, eucalyptus, neroli, lemongrass, patchouli, and bergamot are wonderful. If you have dry skin, the essential oils of lavender and sandalwood would be great to have in your skincare routine. The essential oils of rosemary, frankincense and neroli are good for oily skin. If you have sensitive skin, the essential oils of lavender, frankincense and sandalwood are good to have in your collection. For skin rashes, the essential oils of peppermint, wintergreen, eucalyptus, lavender, cinnamon, and patchouli are beneficial. The essential oils of lavender, Helichrysum, frankincense and peppermint are great at replenish and nourishing the effects of sun exposure by reducing inflammation, moisturizing dry skin and help fade dark spots. Fortunately, each Zoe Provision Collection has at least one of these in the essential oil combination.

Some Life Seekers, our customers, have been asking about our sunscreen product. In order for Zoe Provisions to stand behind its products, it is critical of what makes it up and not use chemicals like oxybenzone. A good sunscreen has a high percentage of either titanium dioxide or zinc dioxide. These are very white and most people do not want to look ghostly white. Think of a high quality diaper rash cream...the main ingredient usually is zinc oxide. So many companies dilute their sunscreen product recipe down in order to make it agreeable with its consumers. Did you know that there are oils that have natural sunscreen protection? Some of these are coconut oil, shea butter, carrot seed oil, avocado oil, olive oil, almond oil and raspberry seed oil. Presently, Zoe Provisions uses coconut oil, avocado oil, shea butter, and olive oil in its products. Hooray for Zoe Provisions that genuinely cares for each Life Seeker and desires to bring heaven to your skin!

Now getting a better concept of all these points, in order to decide what Zoe Provisions collection will be best for you preference is deciding what scents you most prefer. If you prefer a neutral scent with a hint of floral notes, then the Hayat Collection might be your best choice because of the orange, tea tree, nutmeg, rosemary, eucalyptus, lemongrass and cinnamon. If you prefer scents of airiness with a touch of mint, then the Liv Collection might be your best choice because of the eucalyptus, lavender, orange, tea tree, wintergreen, everlasting Corsica Helichrysum and Japanese mint. If you prefer a stronger earthy scent, then the Vida Collection might be your best choice because of the petitgrain, cedarwood, neroli, frankincense and sandalwood. If you prefer sweet and citrus scents with a touch of earthiness, then the Vita Collection might be your best choice because of the lavender, orange, bergamot, and sweet marjoram. If you prefer sweet, citrus and minty scents, then the Zivot Collection might be your best choice because of the grapefruit, orange, lavender, rosemary, cypress, peppermint, frankincense and spearmint.
